The AfriLabs Capacity Building Programme (ACBP) was officially launched on the opening day (28 October, 2019) of the AfriLabs Annual Gathering 2019 at the African Union Commission Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The launch was led by Rebecca Enonchong, Board Chair, AfriLabs. The launch was done in the presence of our hub community and major partners and stakeholders from all over the world who were present at the Gathering. Rebecca began by providing an overview of the AfriLabs’ journey through the African innovation ecosystem and then highlighted the capacity gaps impeding the impact of hubs on the continent which is reflected on startups in their communities. She went ahead to excitedly introduce the ACBP, thanking the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) for funding the project.
